The best way to control the ill effects of Colitis is to prevent eating foods high in solanine. Food items such as potatoes, tomatoes and hot peppers are high in solanine. Also avoid including more amount of sugar in diet as it hinders easy digestion. Doing exercise and yoga is a natural way of getting relief from Colitis. Be cautious in doing exercise as over exercise causes weakness. Perform moderate exercises such as swimming or cycling for at least thrice a week. Also, perform yoga every day and keep your mind free from stress.
