Dislocated shoulder
Leah 2014-12-12
If you’re being treated for a dislocated shoulder and you find the pain uncomfortable, it’s advisable to avoid putting too much stress on your shoulder and resting it well to help it heal faster. You can also apply cold compress to reduce pain and inflammation on the area. Repeat this process for the first two days of the treatment until the pain has improved, before applying hot compress to relax sore and tight muscles.
It’s also important to do gentle exercises for the affected shoulder after two to three days, with the help of your physical therapist or doctor. This can prevent stiffening of joints, and help heal and get back the range of motion faster.
