There are many home remedies for getting instant relief from eye strain. Take cool cucumber slices and rest them in your eyes for at least half hour for cooling the eyes from strain and irritation. As an alternative to cucumber, you can also take potatoes and slice them into pieces to cover your eyes. Once you take out cucumber and potato from your eyes, do some simple eye exercises such as rapid blinking and rotating your eyes from left to right and top to bottom. This lubricates the eyes and relaxes the eye muscles. This relieves the eyes from fatigue and stress.
