The best remedy for getting instant relief from lower back pain is to massage the area with ice. Ice reduces inflammation and relaxes the muscles. Take the ice off the area after 20 minutes for the skin to ease off.
Do not work continuously by sitting before computer for more than one hour. Get up from the chair and walk around for five minutes before resuming work.

Do some mild exercise now and then to give flexibility to muscles which in turn reduces the pain.
Follow a healthy diet to maintain optimal weight, thereby preventing more weight of the body to rest on the spine.
