Pain after a root canal procedure
Ellie 2014-12-14
When experiencing pain after a root canal procedure, you can apply an ice pack on the affected site or area to reduce the pain and swelling. You can also take pain medication to relieve the pain and numb the area. It is also advisable to temporarily restrict to liquid diet, such as soup and fruit juices, to prevent applying stress on the tooth due to chewing of food. You can do this for several days, until the pain is tolerable enough.

Relief from pain can also be achieved by gargling salt solution thrice a day or as frequently as needed. All you need to do is mix in a tablespoon of salt in a glass of lukewarm water. Gargle and hold the solution in your mouth for half a minute, to let it work effectively.
