Brush your teeth and clean floss because sometimes discomfort can cause residual part of the food in your teeth. Putting a cold compress on the face will certainly help to alleviate the pain and reduce the sensitivity. Keep lining for 10-20 minutes, every hour. Interruptions are required to avoid cooling of the skin surface. Rinse your mouth with warm or hot brine which also helps with cleaning, and is useful in swollen gums because it helps prevent gum infection. Tea contains tannins that can alleviate the pain. Freeze the bag of black or green tea, put on the aching tooth and hold.
