Although there are no specific cures for sleep talking, there are steps that you can take to reduce its frequency. One would be to establish good sleeping habits by going to sleep and getting up at a specific time every day. Exhaustion should also be avoided at all times by getting adequate hours of sleep, managing stress, and finding a relaxing activity before going to bed. Heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol should be avoided at all cost a few hours before sleeping.
It would also be wise to get medical help as there would be other underlying reasons for sleep talking such as head injuries, stroke, seizures and thyroid problems.
