The best home remedy for dehydration is to drink electrolyte fluids. Most of the sports drinks are rich in electrolytes and carbohydrates. Drink more water throughout the day but drink small amount of water every time. That means, you have to drink less water but many times. Stop any activity that you perform and take full rest. Do not walk out in sunlight or involve in sweating activities. Try to lie down in cool room with air condition. Take 1 quart of water and mix half teaspoon of table salt and 6 tablespoons of sugar. Drink this mixture twice a day for a couple of days to prevent dehydration.
